A friend had a B reg 1.9RD in metallic beige. It was actually quite a nice car, he swapped it for a BX16valve, which had probably been clocked, loads of problems, blew the engine at *40 but went like stink.
Another friend had a BX14TGE which had 145k miles on but was still in great order, until the new owners Wife ripped the side out of it on a post about two weeks later. He regrets selling now

But i'm going to take my time , and get a good one that matched the condition of my old TCT, !!
I have managed to pick up what i consider to be cheap, a 1991 BX 16 TGS Athena, low miles T&T till middle of next yr £300,
Soooo, i'm gunna run that 'n' take my time , but will hope to have got another Xm soon,
Now il'l have two cars at next years CXM
Any idea's on what this model is like , no doubt i will be picking a rew brains on this one too .....

I had a 16 TZS, it was BLOODY THIRSTY!!
The TCT was beter on fuel, the Solex auto choke carb is balls!! Id be surprised if you get better then 20 mpg! Im sure that all mine did. I kept it a month, and got rid...
As for TG spec, thats normal BX trim, elec front windows, ESR, CL, Wont be remote in TG spec, might have PAS, not 100%... oh rev counter..
Nigel, Try and find a L or M reg S1.5 DERV, these are the best cars, orginal proper dash, but with S2 earths, and hydractive that should always work! Honest.. Ive not seen a S1.5 with non working hydractive... mind you, im sure theres a memeber here whos system didn't work, but its VERY rare...
S1.5's are K 1993 through L 1993/4 to M 1994... Yes the S1.5 was available on M plate, I got one here too...
