Well Andrew,You cant seriously consider buying it just to scrap Robert surely? That's criminal:
all you seem to be doing at the moment is gut or £upsell everything you get and
whilst that may be the sad reality of life these days it saddens me to read it here
on an owner enthusiasts model specific forum for a car that with modest work
could be a keeper. Sorry for the rant but I'm losing track of the dying cars.
If its being sold as a potential spares car, whats the harm in viewing it as such?
Also to put the record straight.
Any of the cars that I have broken, have been cars that were never going to return to the road. Its all well and good having the intention of saving every last one, but they can't all survive, and those that don't, can do their bit to keep all the rest of them on the road.
As for the cars that I buy, keep for a while, and in the process; do considerable re-commissioning work to; these cars usually sell for little more than cost. Hardly a means to make a living, and any money made divided over the hours of work that is involved would be a very very very poor rate of pay. The improvements made to these cars give them a further lease of life and enjoyment for their new owners.
I'll continue to try and keep my fleet at a constant number, and have a small core of cars that I plan to keep indefinitely.
You don't fancy buying my Activa off me Andrew before anything untoward happens to it, or ends up having more money spent on it?
