What an interesting find and here are some photos I have been meaning to post of another, also in Lincolnshire funnily enough!! As you can see, the guy has a bit of an obsession with the BX, although there are also a few Xantias, with one series two XM last time I looked. With regards, Matthew T.

I've had a reply (Via a PM) from Paul, I've PM'd you how Syd's (The gentleman that owns the veichles) needs to be treated with respect to his property etc. !

So for the time being I've been instructed (By Paul) to take PM's by any interested persons in the vehicles or parts (Which in turn I'll forward thro' to Paul on the BXC) unless your a member on there (you can do it your self) ?

Its a real shame to see all of those Citroens in scrap condition, though best to get parts off them now as I bet most will never see the road again, they will be too badly gone on the underside and need far too much work to make them viable.

It must be a strange situation to get into that, as the owner obviously had ideas about keeping them in good condition and being able to save them, or why bother with the car covers. It would be interesting to see what condition that CX under the car cover is in, either its more rotten than the rest or looking ok, I think rotten!

I would love to have a mooch around there and get some bits too, shame we can't organise an open day with the owner

Matthew, your picture reminds me of a similar looking place I passed when going down to Norfolk last year, though on a smaller scale. It was a house with what used to be a service garage attached. It had a good few forgotten Citroens sitting around and so I pulled in. The guy who lived there was busy mending his LPG system on his Honda! We got talking and it seemed that even though he was surrounded by Citroens and a few Peugeot he didnt actually like them very much, he was quite smitten with is Accord though He did mention he had more out the back, XMs and BXs mainly. Not sure where it was exaclty now, but it was visable from a main road.

I am sure you are right about the condition of the cars Chris, although I suppose the ones under covers might have some hope if they are also on handstandings. The other site in Lincolnshire that I illustrated is the one you are thinking of I am sure and I could confirm the location, although there was only one XM to my knowledge. I hope it might be possible to arrange a group visit via XMX/Tim Leech as you suggest and I would certainly be interested. With regards, Matthew T.
