Can the strips not come out of the side strips?

Yes they can be removed with care but the replacements from Citroen came as one unit. On all my XM I have managed to get by with fitting decent chrome strips from other cars. Regards, Matthew T.

Of the side trims only the longest usually need to be recovered good from scrap cars.
Then you cut down the rest to make good but shorter lengths.

I agree John and have often cut down the slightly longer front door strips to make good rear ones, assuming of course that only the ends have corroded! Any decent rear door strips are also worth keeping intact and I use sections of more generally corroded strips for the front and rear wings. With regards, Matthew T.

I'm happy with the stainless ones from Brian Primmer, they seem to be a bit thicker steel now.
The set I fitted recently I did different. I planed down the old trims and mounted the new SS ones onto what became a backbone.

How much are these stainless ones then as I can't imagine they are cheap for a full set?
