V6 on CarandClassic

Selling off one (or bits :o) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

That is not the way Citroen applied changes to XM evolution.
There were to be regular evolution changes each year of production.
Engine changes were made most years often with new types.
The ES9 was a 1997 Model Year introduction with the PRV engine dropped six months earlier.
Cosmetic bodyshell changes were to be in three major phases over the intended sixteen or so years of XM production.
They had a target wish list of features some of which never made the XM as the third phase was cancelled.

Well, there is at least ONE 'clean' one going. But at £5K-with 42000 miles. The last XM 3 litre car ever sold in UK.
search (this) string?

The fact is though it sounds kind of nice and its in a very clean XM when there are no other clean ones for sale at the moment, also if you want an old (period) vehicle do you not want the period engine to go with it?
Thats my view anyway, it may have been more desireable if it was a MK1 shell as to my mind the MK1 should have a PRV and a MK2 should have an ES even though that wasnt the way it was.

Will be interesting anyway.

The prv holds speed record at LeMans before the Chicanes were put.I would have it over a "modern" Honda V6 that needs tappets adjusted every service and chews piston rings due to the "modern" switching cylinders circus. The prv suits the character of both XM and 605.Otherworldly kinda left field.Only 48 605's were sold in Australia,a gem of a car, nicer seats and more interior and boot space than a Jaguar XF.
