Re: Poor CEO up for sale again
Thanks for the information, I plan on getting my body shop to sort the dents on the nearside rear wing aswell. Has anyone ever done a lhm flush on CEO? I remember doing a little mod on an old xantia sinker I used to have, the lhm return pipe to the reservoir I relocated as the return pipe was introducing lots of air near the feed pipe by frothing up the lhm in the reservoir, the ride was improved vastly by having the return pipe at the top of the tank!

On the XM-type reservoir, the return pipes should be delivering their returned fluid into the larger filter unit.
The smaller unit filters the pick-up supply to the pump.
Both filters have the important function of breaking up bubbles and froth which might occur, and preventing them being sucked up and returned into the system.
In normal use, no bubbles (even microscopic ones) should be visible in the fluid.
The filters are capable of removing most bubbles, but not if there is a serious air leak into the system on the pump suction line.
A hole or split, or bad fit, of either filter can make this de-aeration less effective.
