Battlescar - now scrapping 2.1 TD Mk 2 Auto

Selling off one (or bits :o) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

oooooh yes, I did forget about the brake light switch. I've located the cruise pump but it's been a bugger to get off. Big hammer and cold chisel needed!

Possibly interested at the right price, but £25 per alloy sounds a lot.

Hi D-man, possibly, but £100 for four alloy wheels I think is fair, possible room for negotiation based on alloys alone. But then the price for the tyres is generous. They cost £60 each and have covered only 2000 miles. Effectively the rears are as new as they will have virtually no wear. If you're a harsh driver then the fronts are 10% through their life, but I'd wager less. So at £25 per tyre - fitted, that's pretty good. The combined price therefore is fairly balanced I think.
I appreciate £200 is a fair chunk, but who ever buys them effectively gets a fresh set of tyres + "free alloys". I know there is delivery involved but I'm travelling to Oxford next weekend if that helps anyone

I don't want to separate tyre from rim though, so if you want the tyres then you can have the whole lot for £200 and sell the rims on. Dman was interested. Maybe the tyres are worth a bit more than £25, so can sell the alloys on a bit cheaper.

Ah, but if you take them, then between you and D Man you can arrange your own deal. As in you take the tyres and sell the alloys on to D Man? Just seemed an easy-ish option as I'm coming to Oxford this weekend anyway. Just thinking out loud.....

Things are getting delayed on the XM scrappage front - my C5 Immobiliser has taken over my attention as I need the car for the weekend. Of course, I'd have no problem taking the BX but the MOT runs out on Friday. Why do these things all happen at once?

To all who have expressed interest in parts - rest assured that they are either already off and resting safely in a box, or on my shortlist of outstanding items yet to be removed. I promise you you'll get your parts, just bare with me a bit and I'll pm you one by one to arrange couriers.

John/XMExclusive - did you want some loom? For the heated seats? The only part of the loom in the car is that which would run from the front heated seat switches (centre console) to 'somewhere' in the loom. I don't think there was anything else unless Zaphod remembers otherwise.......

Hi Geoff

If it was a Mk2 with heated rear seats there will have been two identical stub looms running from the base of the "B" pillar to a small ECU box fixed behind the middle of the rear seat side squabs then down to a brown plug where the two parts of the rear seats join.

John
