Ive just got the panels left then .. Doors and wings and nose cone.. Wings and nose cone WILL need paint from laquer peel.. And i need to check the wing bottoms for condition too..

And although its sad this Xm has now seen its last days I'm sure its helped a lot of owners out in keeping their cars going, it will also allow a very special thing to happen, 'how many left' will be showing a 1992 3.0i prestige auto listed from next year.

I am fitting an extra litre to the Pestige yes, it will be very sad to rip the old girls heart out but i will enjoy the tinkering with the new lump and have already pinned down an engine gasket kit, timing chain guides and tensioners along with some other parts for refreshing an old engine all at reasonable prices.

Checked with DVLA and changing the engine size on the logbook will be fine, the insurance isnt all that different, the only sticky thing is the exhaust which i want to make myself as i did when i put the prestige back on the road 18months ago but this time in stainless. Plans are afoot, the wife has not killed me yet and it looks like it will be great fun!.

A little while to go yet, prob wont get it for at least a month or two but yes lots of photo's will be taken and fun had.

I believe Paul is still looking for a buyer for the panels, i am only taking the rolling chassis with the engine and box in a still running state, the rest can go so thats lights, doors, glass (except windscreen and sunroof) bumpers, tailgate etc but Paul will update with anything left to sell im sure.

Don't forget to swap the front anti-roll bar and spheres...and while you have the engine out it would be a good time to add a couple of turbo's and an intercooler.

If the windscreen is good, make sure you cut it out and keep it, along with the rear quarter glass.

How are you transporting the car from Pauls to yours...more importantly how much is it costing?
