The Activa should actually eventually lose out on that very small weight difference.
For a given speed and curve the Activa will feel slightly better on the twisty bits so this will encourage faster curving.
In practice the actual grip on the road will be the same so the XM with longer wheel base will a slightly more stable car.

Don't forget. As soon as speed builds a bit the XM will accelerate more rapidly as air drag is lower by some margin.

Re: This looks like a nice one!
Thing I'm not sure about is the figure for the Xm TCT as it was sourced off a German site in Google.
Now if it's pikey spec as they tend to be on the Continent it may be a long way short of the loaded
with gizmo's UK version with it's 'full fat'!
They don't "do" sunroofs for a start and I can't see the lekky seats/armrest and inner rear screen
being within that weight. Of course the UK car will compensate somewhat by having lighter alloys
compared to the steelies and there'll be the additional consideration of weight lightening on the
Xm of the extra wheel bolt hole on the x5 bolts pattern compared to the Activa's x4.
As far as differences between identical spec/model cars goes I'm certain of it. One Activa I now have
feels like a completely different version to one I had before it and driving them back to back there's
a difference. I cannot find any tangible changes/differences say due to a chip etc so can only
speculate on the differing mileages and previous upkeep maintenance service history.

At CXM this year, even I WAS exreamilly impressed with a TCT I was following on the Convoy... even in my 24v S1 I had to work hard to catch up or keep up with one... I must say though, I wasn't useing 5k Plus rev line... which is were, Im told the power all sits...
