Hi Mark, I've got both the small and large type off a vehicles, but as I'm going out now for a couple hours I can't just check them to give you the Actual top strut hole dia. where the piston/rod exits (The hole dia. of where the underside of the hex. retaining nut is adjacent too) !
But in the mean if you measure that feature (Dia.) at least it will be ready for me to confirm which type your 'NOS' is ?

When I get the chance I will look out one of each size strut head and measure the hole diameters and post for the record.
Edit note: Just seen that XMX will do this long before I get round to it.

Mark did you get chance to measure your NOS strut top (Piston/rod exit hole) ?
As I've mislaid my inside/outside vernier, I had to use just a steel rule to do the measuring so the sizes may not be exactly 'bob on' but are near enough for you to decipher which type you have regarding which piston/rod size yours is suitable for !
The the exit hole on strut top for the smaller dia. piston/rod (of 23mm dia.) is 17.25mm dia. and for larger dia. piston/rod (of 25mm dia.) is 20mm dia, !
I hope that helps and come back with your findings ?

Cheers Richard, I've just measured the strut top mount. The dia of the exit hole is the smaller of the two ie 17.25mm. So I presume this strut top is unsuitable for my 2000 VSX. Mark.

Mark, only IF your piston/rod is 25mm in dia.(You really need to measure the rod dia. the chromed bit behind the suspension strut gaiter), not forgetting all the H&S rules especially when working around/under a hydraulic Citroen

I notice that Brian Primmer is selling re-furbed strut top mounts via an advert in the Citroenean. Are these the kinGas ones I wonder.

Yea well, and I dont care if he reads this or gets told but he wanted to ROB us ALL, and tried to get sole agency for selling them to us! at double their price too
WRONG in my eyes... Im glad Kings said NO chance, we wont do single agency..
Theres no mistaking Kings tops, they have the metal top bent upwards in the repair process..
They are very nice tops as far as the Rubber work goes!

iirc, All later cars due to being a bit lardy, use larger struts .
