Another S1 24v for sale!! NOW SOLD

Selling off one (or bits :o) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

I would have expected most UK XMs to have been built to order. I wouldn't have thought they'd have had a lot of dealer stock lying about, given what a low-volume seller it was.

Citroen at times got the UK sales and demand levels way out.
The Mk2 launch was the most noticable.
It seems unsold XM's were put out to grass then.
Build date to registration often shows a delay.
Around two years is the record.

Green was a very popular colour in the 1990's. I ordered my second XM in metallic green.

Green popular or forced in volume onto the UK by Citroen?
I suspect it was probably a bit of both John and in the case of early S2 cars perhaps more the latter! The Emerald green was originally only available on the S1 24v and there were not many other options!

Would that be the slightly darker Triton green Will as on Doug Watson's car?

Mine was Triton green, I don't recall Emerald being available for SD models, otherwise I would have had it.

Emerald was only on the V6 24v at the start and then possibly on 12v models. I had a 1993 2.0i turbo in Triton and I must admit that I prefer the Emerald! Regards, Matthew T.

At title states the car has now been relisted as a classified ad for £2,495 that I think is a more realistic price and hopefully it will now find a home!

There are probably closer to ten and that may not include the four lhd cars we know have been imported in the last eighteen months. I am also not sure my lhd will show up on the HMAL website since for some reason when I registered the car DLVA did not include details of the actual model on the V5! Regards, Matthew T.
