The photos above in Steelcity's post are of the later (Xantia compatible) IR XM type.
These will reprogramme to make up sets and allow up to two fobs per car.

Early XM IR sets have hard wire link patch coding.
They have to be paired sets.

I will look at putting a Chinese RF set into the roof light.
If it works I will list the wiring connector details.
The pcb on the set I have here might just fit.
RF into Mk1 is easy if you can deal with a bit of wiring.
It is in Mk2's the problems come with the added deadlocks as Citroen RF on the XM is not industry standard.

Will see if I can find the plipset junk boxes as I did have working examples of most options.
