Battlescar - now scrapping 2.1 TD Mk 2 Auto

Selling off one (or bits :o) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

Yes and those near the steering wheel for the rear wipers.

I shall attempt to expalain what I am doing...
I want to fit the S1 dash into an S2.. this means as you know fitting the S1 door cards, as the front seats are not in great shape I'd be interested in the whole interior

So far I have the dash (although Campbell has a high % of it ATM) and the section of the loom behind it. From the recovered section loom I intend to make some link peices to link the S2 plugs to the S1 switch gear whihc will hopfully conpensate for the relocation of the switches, for this I would need the lower part of the S2 switches to enable me to plug into the S2 loom.

I am however retaining the S2 steering wheel, because it works with my radio!

The advantage to this means the car can still be returned to original

I can't help thinking this will become a never ending project, why not just buy a series 1.

Have you tried to find a good one recently?

I should also add the only S1 I am interested in is.. S1.5 SED or SEi and has to actually all work.. far easier to find a decent S2 and build it from that, it sounds harder than it actually will be. Done this sort of thing before, Dolimte HL dash into a base model, change the crappy 'bubble' dash in my rover 218 VVC coupe for the original R8 dash (switches in that are all differnt). I have never understood why when some simple wireing is mentioned people who are happy to swap engines, weld repairs suddenly run a mile, it's dead easy! Aside from that its just swapping some trim over

Is Campbell about does anyone know? As always time is running away from me and whilst I'm happy to remove precious XM rareties and all the nice bits, I'm getting loathed at the idea of removing this engine unless Campbell really wants it. And once I've taken the leather out I need it gone! Speak up Campbell ;)

Well, I hope you're Ok Campbell, better still I hope you're sunning it up in the Carribean!!!

I'll delay for as long as possible, but once I've cleared the space in my garden and put up my childrens swing, the XM comes next. I was offered 4 tons of scalpings-dust yesterday from a neighbour who over ordered. So in two weeks time, I have to take the scalpings which means the XM has to be gone. Why have I written all that?! I'm rambling on as usual, but what I'm saying is that if I haven't heard from you by the two weeks is up, I shall have to re-offer the leather and other bits and pieces you wanted as I just can't store it! I'm genuinely sorry, but for personal reasons I have a lot to do this year and can't hang about. (I'm sure there's lots I've missed out about my current (and historical) life but if anyone needs further information, just ask! My inside leg measurement is 32" in case anyone in interested  ;) )
