Has knackered clutch and dodgy lacquer on the bonnet, but sounds promising...

I drove my black one back from Slough with no clutch, if you pick your time, preferably in the evening when there isn't to much traffic about its not to difficult - I have actually been considering it, but 165k is about head gasket time.

Might be worth sending the vendor a message, he claims the car has service history, and you never know your luck, the HG may have been replaced...

OR you could always just drop in the full lump from the accident-damaged estate 8-)

I might do that for a nice late Mk2 silver estate but dont like the Mk1 enough :(
