Ohhh that is nice a 2.1 Turbo D.

These maroon cars are popping up all over the place. That car would be a good candidate for you Peter. And there is little in the way of electronics on these D spec cars, no ABS to worry about.

It seems OK for what it is, though a bit rusty on the bottom of the door.

He says he will take offers...I was thinking of offering the 99p start price.. :D

Didn't realise it was a 'D' had not read the details properly - as usual. I prefer the SX because of its simplicity and much improved heater system, didn't know there was an even better one. I have stopped collecting hatches, just want a nice silver estate, like the other on on ebay only a Mk2 - I've seen that car before somewhere....

Thankyou Peter!

A Perfect car to sort mine out in the body!! :D

Looks to be the same colour as my SED.. and the awfull base spec is of no interest to me, but the rest is!

Ive sent a few Q's for him, and planning on going for a look Sunday...

Got to be good if you can get it for the start price :D The silver estate is listed as a 'D' as well, but it has black leather, unusual anyway for an estate, I have seen that one before, recognise the registration, I looked at a silver Mk1 estate in Cardiff a while back, don't know if its that one. I did pass one just outside Norwich earlier in the year.

Had a reply, he knows very little about the car, except he bought her as a cheap run around because he loved the shape

He's going abroad, so needs her gone.. Im going on Sunday on the way home from CCC to have a look over, but looks the same colour as mine, so I think she will be mine...

Paul

PS: He knows very little about her, so she could be a gold mine for me.. 8-)

Hi Paul

Well done, I hope you get it at the right price. I wonder what type of heater that one has, if its the same as the SX would be worth keeping.

Grumble, Grumble...had the same thoughts for the same reasons... :?

It is mandarin red and appears pretty tidy body-wise, thought the rusty door bottom may be a sign of the general condition.

It is the Base model Peter with Dual Zone Heating!

Rubbish! That does not interest me..

Paul

By the Way - Rust on the INSIDE of the passenger door is VERY common on XM S1 cars..

Have you looked at yours?? For repair or rust??

All my XM's have rust here, it does not tell you the state of the rest of the car...
