Selling my C6...

Well, I’ve decided that I am going to sell my C6.

I’ve not owned it long but I just can’t get comfy in this like I can my XM Everybody else thinks I’m nuts as they think it’s amazingly comfy. So once the C6 is gone I’m going to put some money into getting my Series 1 V6 24v XM back on the road.

The car is as follows:

2007 07 Citroen C6 Exclusive (Registered 28th June 2010)
Iron Grey in colour with black leather
Lounge Pack

It has all of the usual Exclusive toys including:

Air Conditioning
Full Colour Sat Nav with JBL audio system and 30GB Jukebox
Electric Memory Seats
Electric Steering Column Adjustment
Electric Reclining Rear Seats
Rear Sunblind
Speed Sensitive Rear Spoiler
Electric Folding Door Mirrors
Xenon Lights with Day Time Running Lights
Tyre Pressure Monitoring System

I am the 2nd owner of the car. It has done 26,200 miles.

It has just had 4 new tyres @ £200 each, they are Michelin Pilot Sports.

It has just had 4 new tyre valves fitted and coded by the Citroen dealer in Glasgow, these are a common fault and are expensive to replace. It has also had all of the chrome trim on the doors replaced as it started to get a sort of marbled effect on it.

I recently drove from Glasgow to Warrington with the cruise control on at a steady 70mph all of the way and it average 40.7mpg. When cruising at around 80mph it does around 36.7mpg.

The 2.7 litre twin turbo V6 Diesel engine is effortlessly smooth, torquey and beautifully quiet. I will in many ways be sad to see this go as it has many more toys then my XM but I just can’t get comfy in it.

I will put 12 months MOT on the car before it sells and it will come with 11 months tax.

Asking price is £14,500 ono.

Well, I'd love a C6, and yours looks great. Only problem is that the decimal point on the price is in the wrong place for what I can afford.

Never mind, another 10 years and I might be able to afford one...

Beautiful car David, there really is something special about the C6 ,

Sadly as previous reply , if you could move that decimal point a little

Best of luck selling, and i'm sure you'll have no problems.
Cracking car though !

David. How tall are you and why can't you get comfortable? I ask because I noticed this when I drove Ken's car, the seat runners were a bit short and the seats overstuffed.

Ive now had a drive in a demonstrator and in the very short drive i couldnt seem to find that sweet spot where you move the seat and think to yourself "thats it" the seats just seemed too hard and too high.
Really really nice car though, i wish you all the best with the sale David.

I'm 6ft 4in.

For day to day driving and using for going in and out of Glasgow it's a cracking car.

However on the way home from Manchester at the weekend I just couldn't get comfy in it.

Not doing a good job of selling my car really am I telling everyone why I don't like it lol.

David.

You dont need to sell a car like this it sells itself, besides its not going to be a problem for most people anyway, certainly more comfy than a BMW!

Ditto. I suspect we have the same problem.
