WTD: Front Wishbone Rear Bush
Anyone know where to get the rear bush for the wishbones? p/n 3523 57
I have found the others, and am intending at some point to refurb the front with new bushes drop links etc!
Thanks
Dave

Hi Dave, davetherave wrote:Anyone know where to get the rear bush for the wishbones? p/n 3523 57..........
I tried sourcing this particular bush last year for my friends XM to re-furb the lower wish-bones etc. for the MOT, both Euro-car parts (Three attempts) and GSF (Two attempts) kept getting the wrong type in from a Pug or Xantia (The 'P' shaped type) both factors were pretty useless and in the end, I managed to go thro' what it looked like etc. with one of the sales staff @ Euro-car parts and they had no stock left unless they placed a minimum order of 500 - off which I'd have to buy

So I was told that because of the qty. that they would need to re-stock, they was going to delete/discontinue it from there listing, likewise I've just rang GSF and they have deleted them from their lists including the front ones too !
But don't worry, as I've rang the main dealer's and the rear bushes are available to order for £12.44 +VAT each so buy a pair today in-case the VAT goes up in the budget !

Re: WTD: Front Wishbone Rear Bush
Thanks for that XMX. thats saved me ringing round all the factors.
Thats not a bad price from citroen, certainly cheaper to re-furb than to buy a whole new wishbone!
Im no expert on bushes, but they look pretty knackered on mine
Need to buy myself a vice to press them in though.
Right, best get on the phone to duff morgan.
Cheers
Dave

Re: WTD: Front Wishbone Rear Bush
I had even rang AEP about the rear-ones for Dave /\ but they only had the a front one listed on E-Bay which they said they did have two off only (The last pair too), I said it's doubtful that anyone would buy only one when you need two to re-furb one one wishbone !XMX wrote:...................................

So they said they would revise it to a pair then so the price changed from £3.12 to £6.24 for a pair, so I thought shall I buy them for a rainy day maybe ?
But instead of buying them immediately, I thought I'd better get rebuilding my O/S/F door window regulator as a cable had broke as I've had to jam the window with a wedge to hold it in the up position for the last three day's!
I 'd just had a tea-break now and thought I'll go and do the 'BIN' for the front bushes but have now been SOLD this afternoon

ahh
ermm, yep that was me!
I have had them in myebay for a while, and emailed the guy asking if they could combine postage on four, they emailed back saying that there were only two left, then I checked the listing and it was for a pair, so I thought bugger best buy them!!
Still need another two though, perhaps another phone call to citroen needed!

Arrgghh...
That's a bit of a bugger as bushes was on my list of jobs to do and GSF said they could still supply them a couple of weeks ago.
Damn this head gasket...

Oh well never mind, davetherave wrote:ahhermm, yep that was me!
The next time I see a pair/set available I'll be on to them like bolt of lightning if there that kind of money as the AEP ones !

As already said in my first post GSF have stopped supplying both front and rear wishbone bushes, and Euro-Car Parts have stopped supply the rear bushes also, AFAIK they where the only motor factors other than the main Stealers that actually could supply them.
But if you go onto the EURO-CAR PARTS there some front bushes showing up as £8.97 #6000545015 and another for £7.80 #600545010 but I'm not sure which you would need if indeed there are the correct ones, but it does list Four required for a vehicle/axle set best check with them direct at your nearest branch rather than buying over the net IMHO from last years experience with the Nott's branch !

Hi All
Must be slipping if I left AEP with a pair of bushes in stock.
Although they do not mention it on their ebay listings they normally charge only one single £6.50 carriage fee however many items are in the order.
When I was putting my order together they also offered a complete XM wishbone.
On checking it out very carefully as I decided it was for a non-hydractive XM so no good for virtually all of us.
