Obviously there looking more towards the £600 mark as in the "Click-Cars" AD rather than the fifty quid start (With a reserve) as in the E-Bay listing .E-Bay Seller wrote:And another thing - the car IS advertised in a local paper as well, so it may be taken off auction according to usual rules.
I don't think so Robert, as Peter already made a judgment/decision in the other thread (That's of course if you have seen/read it) ?robert_e_smart wrote:That is a nice one, it has the best XM velour interior available, and its spotless.
Are you going to bid Peter??

No, I have just sold my SX hatch, I like the interior and the simplicity but I really need an estate. The white one I have drives beautifully but is a bit tatty round the edges, I would like a really smart one, I might even consider a Mk1 as there don't seem to be any more Mk2s about. I would have been interested in that Triton green on if it wasn't auto.robert_e_smart wrote:That is a nice one, it has the best XM velour interior available, and its spotless.

You may be correct there PeterPeter.N. wrote:At 100k the head gasket should be OK for a week or two, had it been an estate I might have been a little interested. I prefer the Mk 2 trims
But IMHO was possibly a bit economic with the truth and may have known of the underlying problem which has now been discovered by the new E-Bay purchaser !Original/First E-Bay Seller wrote: Selling my extremely reliable and trusty Citroen XM turbo Diesel hatchback, which I've owned for 5 years, from 62 kilo miles to 100 kilo miles. Has never let me down.
The /\ quote taken from THIS BXC forum thread, it would be shame for the current E-Bayer 'welcome123.020' to spoil their 100% (19 feedback) record by selling this on to some-one else as there's no mention of this new problem in the current listing, which in turn could then cause the next possible purchaser to open up a dispute if this is not disclosed !scarecrow wrote:This is the one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1991-CITROEN-XM-T ... mobiles_UK
Having contacted the seller he's confirmed it was the one being sold on ebay last week and that it's developed this fault since getting it home... Ph1 too![]()
It all sounds a bit too suspect for me so I'll leave it - thanks for the advice.
