Thats the one and only Hydractive 1 electrovalve and what a perfectly formed one it is too, not bad for £40.

And its sold! Wasn't me. So thats what a S1 electrovalve looks like. Interesting. I take it that is exactly the same in function as the S2 ones, ie the coil activates to pull the pin back to open, and allow the oil into the hydractive sphere supply lines.

Nor me either. Odd, I'd have sworn I'd recognise one having broken a few s1 Xm's;
I'm guiltuy of keeping every last grommet, washer, screw and widget...
IIRC it sits in a large bracket which may alter the general appearance of it though.
Don't s1 electrovalves fare better than the later varieties?
