FS - 2.1TD VSX N plated MANUAL ESTATE in green

I may (gently) pull Peter's leg about s2 estates and his 'addiction' to them but do have a couple myself
and can see their charms! Problem I have now is Citroen saturation and something finally has to give

It's a MANUAL green N plate 2.1 TD VSX showing IIRC 140k miles (will confirm asap).

It has been off the road a year after I bought it and the previous owner had work done to get it MOT'd
but didn't use it and let it lapse though I've driven it and it's a good well sorted car. There lies the problem!
I managed to slide it off the road in the wilds of Wales and in trying to extract the car from the light
hedge and ditch managed to burn the clutch out. The engine runs fine and it has a good soft ride but
the car now needs a new clutch fitting and the front bumper reattached properly - the plastic riveted
brackets have been torn off the bumper and one lower indicator is broken. There is a snap across the
small thickness of the nosecone on the offside and the nearside mirror got broken on it's mounting.

The rest is fine and in good health though there appeared to be a small leak on the nearside front possibly
under the accumulator/FDV. There's the usual Xm sunroof not working and the car has stood untouched for
about 8 months or so and has attracted a bit of airborne algae so may not be a prize oilpainting to look
at currently but it's a fine car just needing some DIY time!

Pictures taken when I bought it:

I MAY HAVE BEEN IN A POSITION TO DELIVER IT BUT SOME BASTARD HAS STOLEN MY CAR TRANSPORTER TRAILER
(pictured above) WHICH HAD X2 CARS ATTACHED TO IT - An Activa and mys sister's s1 XM!!

TBH, I'm losing the willpower to continue...

I've renewed the OSR tail light on the tailgate so that looks fine. To make a FULL pernickety makeover, the
car would probably look better for getting hold of a front bumper as an easy quick fix, nearside door and
mirror and an un-cracked nosecone from the 2.5 being broken by Andrew in Mere though if minor wrinkles
don't trouble you I can see it being an immediate going concern once the clutch is sorted on it - something
I believe you're now a dab hand at sorting!? Tyres and exhaust are fine and the ABS seems to work, I just
didn't have any grip where it took it's excursion. :(

As far as a value goes it owes me in the region of £400 but I'd be happy to get anything near £300 as it is.
I feel this is fair for the £/square foot of straight useful s2 estate and I really don't want to consider weighing
it in or ebaying it and watching those thieves capitalise on my worsening circumstances!!

Sorry to go OT, but do you mean two cars went as well or they cut the locks off? Car transporter trailers are always hot property.

I once read about a car transport trailer being stolen from a motorway services, complete with the brand new car on it. Later on the car was found dumped...

It was a Renault Safrane with an experimental diesel engine fitted by Perkins and was the only one. Total cost of the development and engine was £1M.

Good job it was in a Safrane....

Sorry to hear of the loss of your Xm, Activa and car trailer. :( I can't imagine what a shock that would have been.

Sadly, Chris reads this right.

The 2.0i 8v manual H plate that served my sister so well, my best Activa AND the car transporter.
The trailer has actually been the best purchase I've made in years and must've carried 100's
and 100's of car/trips all over the UK - pukka kit being a Peak 14" bed fully braked and indespension.
Clearly the deterrent of a car on it and attached to it just meant I lost the tow car and the passenger
too. I deliberately left it looking scruffy in appearance so as not to look too appealing to these
scumbags. That didn't work. Not even sure if it's purely down to the scrap weigh in and clearly
in this area someone doesn't ask questions in their yard.

Local paper mentions a brass band having all their instruments stolen whilst on a tour, worth £15k plus.
The pondlife gave the thief £61 for the scrap weight... :( :o

Don't suppose anyone fancies making any offers, with haggling including the clutch kit included?
I've seen a trailer I fancy...

could possibly even deliver and christen the trailer but would need funds to afford food!

I may just need to point out here, the front bumper's mounting plastic rivets onto the rusty
brackets are the only real 'casualty' of the excursion into the scenery - lucky I missed that
damned big tree. There's no damage to the wings, fans, headlight, fan panel etc and one of
the lower indicators survived in it's entirety.

The very soft 'against a doorpost' depression on the nearside front door shouldn't be a deal
breaker either, nor really the crack in the headlight nosecone panel.

I'll post some piccies tomorrow.

Mileage just 50 miles or so over 150k. Good engine and manual box that needs a new clutch fitting.
Rides well too and IIRC happy with tyres and exhaust. Got to be worth something to somebody.
Can't hang around waiting...

Andrew, I sent you a PM earlier today, I have approval from SWMBO to home another XM and I am only 60miles from Swansea. If you can send one of the others to the scrappers first I may be able to scrape enough pennies together to save this one. Kit
