Lock Set Wanted Please

Am I being too hopeful?!

Basically, the boot and n/s lock are mullered. To add insult to injury, the key that came with the car has been bent, abused and no longer fits into the plip. I have had a spare key cut (well, two actually  ) but only one works and needs a lot of fiddling to get the ignition on.

So I'm going to cut my losses and hold out for a used set. Preferably a complete set with working plips or possibly 'just' a lock set with one non-pliped/normal but good (i.e. non bent/worn etc) key, please!

Neil,

If you want working PLIPS - MAKE SURE you get the Locking reciver from UNDER the glove box! They NEED to be matched, or you wont easilly get them match'd to lock/unlock the car ...

Whereabouts are you?
From a quick search can find a Simplex Ignition switch and a pair of door locks.
Ignition leads are late Mk1 / Mk2 (All wires long, Grey, Brown & Black plugs).
Of the 5 keys, 2 (1 plip i std) are failed dealer cut ones so will work all locks except the ignition.
1(std) is a dealer cut one that works all the locks but fails the ignition occasionally.
There also 1 (std) and 1 (plip) original keys. These work all the locks and are not particularly worn.
If I cannot find the original tailgate and glovebox locks then I can retumbler other ones to suit provided I keep one of the keys.
Located in North Hampshire.
PM me if you are interested.

A reminder to all that I collect orphan locks, even those without keys.

Edit note: It is just possible to swap the key barrel on a Simplex ignition switch without removing the wiring.

/\ Paul what are you up to!

Thanks for the heads up on the receiver! I'll go for a working set without receiver for now, I imagine plips + receiver are hard to come by, so at least I'll be fully operational lock wise for now and I'll keep my eyes peeled.

John - you have a pm!
