WTB PRV Rebuild Parts

I'm looking to find some of the harder-to-find parts to rebuild my Volvo B280 or upsize it to a 3.0L. The engine is still running and it runs fairly well, and I have a core engine from an Eagle Premier (the 3 litre), but the head gaskets in the 2.8 are NFG and I'd like to upgrade some of the other parts while I've got it apart.

Specifically I'm looking to find:

- head gaskets (or a complete gasket set) for a 93mm bore
- rings for a 91mm or 93mm bore
- lower cylinder shims in varying thicknesses

If available, I'd look at 91 or 93mm cylinder liner sets (c/w piston & rings, either turbo or non), uprated camshafts, rockers, a timing chain set, or any other cool bits you've got laying around. For the wear items I'd prefer new, obviously.

I can get gasket kits for the 91mm bore easily enough and I can have custom rings built if necessary, and I'm sure I could cobble up something for the cylinder shims. I haven't found a source for 93mm gaskets, so if I want to go 3.0L, I need some help.

Obviously I'd like to help a forum member sell his stuff before going to a parts house, but if nobody has or is willing to part with the things I'm after, I'll take advise on where to go for the stuff I need.

Hi !

I have been rebuilding a prv engine and have allmost a compleet engine laing around. The liners is used for the projekt but have verry nice pistons for a projekt. I am interested in knowing where to find liners in 93mm for a 3.0 liter engine. I am in contakt with a manifacture that can make the liners but thay are a bit expensive. I can contakt him to get a price on 12x 93mm(6 for me) liners if you are interested.

Dont know if Ive got the wrong idea of this... I have an XM spare engine in 3 litre 12v form.. It had about 105k on it when i took it out of a 1993 XM.. The auto box was the problem.. if the engine is any good, its in okay order... All i want would be the ancilleries and the inlet manifold off it... otherwise its there...
