Front seat switches and motors - Wanted

Hi,

Sorry to come onto your forum just to make this post, feels a little rude.... :?

Although I am hoping someone can help me. I have some Citroen XM Black leather seats (lovely!) for my VW camper van, and was hoping someone on here would have a switch and an electric motor which is missing from them so that I can get the electrics working on them. Also missing is one of the plastic side panels.
I will have to check for sure which switch, and which motor is missing but I believe it is the switch and motor on the drivers side. The switch missing is the upper one, the bit to the right of the seat, by the door - if that makes sense. So I'm guessing that it is the corresponding motor which is missing. I believe this one controls the movement of the seat forwards and backwards.

The side panel which is missing is on the same seat, but the opposite side to where the switches are. Are these things something anyone has on here??

Thanks in advance.

Andy

Welcome to our site.

Most of us take a dim view of people who scrap XM's for bits.
Some of us of course quietly scrap the odd XM for our own supply of bits.
Still no reason why your VW should not have some of the most comfortable car seats made.
Watch out though. Citroen fever is catching. You could find you want to fit our silky smooth hydractive suspension as well.
I like the idea of a VW camper doing Citrobics while stood at traffic lights.

A few of us could find the spare bits.
Might be best to sort out where you are in the country.
Then check if your seats are complete.
Finally are they from a Mk1 or a Mk2 XM.
Add some photos if you can and help and answers should follow.

John

Thanks for the replies guys, I will post some photos up ASAP. Just need to download one!
Also I will have a look in the garage tomorrow and get some better pics, and find out for definite which side the seat is from!!
Hopefully you can see from the pic the switch and to the right the plastic trim which is missing.

Thanks again for your help, and sorry to hijack the for sale board with *swear word* (VW) stuff :o

More photos, showing hopefully where switches and motors are missing from!!

Drivers side: Only has one of the four switches present.

Drivers side has 2 motors, as I have tried to show on the photos

Passenger side: Also has 2 motors present, and I believe has 3 of the 4 switches present.

Hopefully someone will have these motors & switches....any replies much appreciated :) Obviously what I will need is the missing motors, switches, and the fittings that go with them...as well as the plastic trim for the drivers seat if anybody has it?
