Re: Peter N's Car.....
I think it's the drive-shaft centre bearing come loose and allowed the shaft to move out. Either way and easy fix.

Re: Peter N's Car.....
Thanks Paul
I'm sure it only wants the shaft slid back in to drive, I have had this happen myself. Now of course it is not street legal and I don't have access to a suitable trailor, if it was MOTd you could at least tax and insure it for the journey but they are getting very hot on documentation now. I would like it if someone would like to deliver it here for me for me
A rare car well worth having but I don't at the moment have the time or inclination to fetch it myself, if you take a pair of mole grips and a hammer you could have it driving in five minutes, its got to be a very good buy for someone.

shipping expensive
what spec is it? and would it really be that easy a fix? if so why would he not have done it himself?

I reckon you'll get it moved at less than a £1 a mile.
I'm going to suggest that what you really want is an S2 and therefore an S1.5 just doesn't do it for you.

Re: Peter N's Car.....
True, although due to the scarcity of them I was considering one. If it had still been legal I would certainly have had a look at it, especially as its not to far away. I can't see that it can be anything other than the drive shaft has slid out, I cant understand why no one has had a go at it.
