Iam looking for a XM windscreen in good condition has anyone got one for sale? happy to travel to collect cash on collection.
Any mounting rubbers useful but not essential.
Mines cracked and needs replacing to get the girl MOTD and back on the road, that all she needs.
Thanks in advance

THe bad news is they are bonded, best off getting one on the insurance and paying the excess

Re: Citroen XM Windscreen -WANTED
and if I'd known two weeks ago, I'd have attempted to pull the one that went to scrap and delivered it to York.

Re: Citroen XM Windscreen -WANTED
Recovering a secondhand XM windscreen is hard work by hand using wire to cut.
The screen size is the same for cars and estates so will fit either.
That said recover car ones for preference as there is much less chance of cracking the screen while cutting out.
The reason is that an estate body shell has a continuous raised steel section tight to the top edge of the screen glass.
This fouls the run of the cutting wire making it easy to notch into the glass.
There are similar steel upstands down the sides of the glass but they are further away and discontinuous so can be worked around.
I have found the rubber bonding is very tough to cut through. Typically takes me about 6 hours in total.

Re: Citroen XM Windscreen -WANTED
I can get a new screen fitted hereabouts for £100 if I remove the trim, therefore I would question whether is it worth the bother of removing a second hand screen. Once I did get a fitter to remove a screen that I then managed to crack while manhandling soon afterwards!! Regards, Matthew T.
