S1 Lock door lock buttons and Glove box lid catch
Still on my quest for a full S1 interior. I have collected the interior from 'Battlescar' however it seems the door lock buttons were never fitted, these being the bits that slide up and down in the door when the car is locked or unlocked. The S2 versions ahve a differnt profile unfortunatly.
I also need the infamous glove box lid catch that has a depressing tendancy to break (yes it broke, long before I saw the dash!) so I also need that!

Re: S1 Lock door lock buttons and Glove box lid catch
Hi Zaphod
A while ago AEP had some new Mk1 glove box lid catches as a complete assembly.
Might be worth a call. Bit under £20 from memory.
Will see if I can find any Mk1 lock buttons in the junk boxes.
Know I tend to save them along with the Mk1 door catch plastic surrounds.
May take a while to come across anything with my storage system.

Sounds like a similar storage system to mine John!
Sorry about that Zaphod - i didn't realise they were different. Not the same as early Xantia ones per chance?

Series 2 Xm buttons are the same as Xantia front door lock buttons.

No worries! The leather itself is actually better than expected as is the wood on the doorsGeoff Lebowski wrote:Sounds like a similar storage system to mine John!

Zaphod is putting a full Mk1 dash and trim into a Mk2.
Making up little converter leads to fit Mk1 controls and switches into the existing Mk2 wiring plugs.
To me it seems a very sensible and practical way to achieve what he wants.

Ah right thanks John.... I see now.. Yes, the connector leads are a good idea... I was a bit confused as He's picked up a S2 leather set.. thats all, but I guess S1 or S2 leather - it dont matter other then the S1.5 HARD leather...
