While I love this car it has to go

I am off on holiday for a week now but will try to check my emails from darkest Cornwall.

She has a full service history with everything from new including the original bill of sale signed Mr Bradford himself. I have every MoT to verify the mileage at 41K. She is taxed and tested until Jan 2012.

The photos concentrate on the bad bits There is some light scratching of the paint in a few spots and a few small dings (mainly on the bonnet). The chrome inserts are poor around the front and there is some delamination of the 'screen. All this is in the photos. Predictably the dot matrix screen is failing but just about readable.

She drives beautifully and everything works, even the sunroof! There is no air con so no problems there. The previous owner (I am the third) fitted the tow bar to tow a small trailer down to Spain (don't ask!) and that is the only time it has been used! Underneath she is sound as a pound and the front strut tops look like new!

I have given her a good valet and fitted a new battery (three year warranty). She was not used for much of 2011 so I have been gently coaxing her back to life. Yesterday I carried around 250kg of rock across the county and she rode beautifully.

She really is a nice car but I just do not need to run an XM estate at the moment

I am looking for around £1600. If I do not sell before the CXM rally then I will try to get her there for an inspection if you are interested. I am based in Wiltshire but am happy to deliver the car pretty much anywhere.

As you would expect I have tried to be as honest as I can about her condition. If you want any more photos let me know.

Sell the Migraine Rob!

I'd love to get rid but my name is not on the V5! It belongs to my dear lady. She views it as the family car so disposing of it is not within my whim. I have a greater commitment to my wife than the XM (especially since I am currently a kept man!)

It is with a very heavy heart that I am selling the XM but cold logic must prevail

Jobs for the use are cropping up all the time!! With shifting Rocks(?) and a mixer, what else can you use when shes gone... shes begging to be kept!

I know I know. She is a great workhorse and is keeping miles off the Megane but at the moment I need £1600 more than I need a third car

I know what will happen, I'll sell a really great car to save/make some money then I'll get a job and will start looking for a good 2.1 auto hatch and find they are all rubbish
