Cheap 2.5 on ebay

Selling off one (or bits :o) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

Well I'm in :D
I've got a bid on it, but it's a long way for me to go, so I'm not bidding much, so if anyone else wants it, my bid won't take much beating ;) .
It could provide cheap motoring for a few months at least, and I need to find out if all the hype about the 2.5 is true :|

I've driven both, and while the 2.5 is faster, has a much lighter clutch and is a little smoother, but the 2.1 gets my vote for durability and easier maintenance. If I had a good, cheap tame mechanic to service it for me, I would go for a 2.5. :D

I'd still caution against a 2.5 if only for the price of and rarity of parts. A tuned 2.1 is probably a better bet. Still I prefer a HDi to the 2.5 so maybe I'm not the best person to comment.

I do like the 2.1 even with a EPIC.

Hi All

Looks interesting at the current price.
Not one for me though.
I suspect the working life remaining might be a bit limited.
Almost 300k and still on the original strut heads and clutch.

John
