Nice spec./condition but will the
'MK1 purist' appreciate the MK2 front bumper with headlamp/jet-wash and the extra 'Shark-fin' roof aerial

Don't care about the non-originality. Anyone know the car? I need to replace my 1993 XM SED with something soon (I've got a mysterious clonking noise, a grumble from the driveshaft and a couple of other little problems, but they seem to be building up quicker than I can fix them)
This one could be a good replacement, but it is about 4hr each-way drive from here so it is a bit tricky to go and see it.

Hi, I've never seen this one ( J20 RCR ) for sale before or at any of the show/events, but the owner does seem to have looked after it and be knowledgeable about the 'Green Blooded Beast' !
They may giving up ownership of Citroen's which run on the 'Green Blood' as there even throwing their sphere changing tool
Seem a reasonable buy as its just past its MOT and has nearly 12 month's road tax too worth £215 therefore making the actual price of the car good value !
Also note that they've already had one offer which was declined, so If it as good/clean as it appears this may not hang around for long, but I'd ask them about the state/condition of the suspension strut tops (Or maybe they could substitute one of the 12 photo shots with one of the engine bay) also
Peters favourite one that the head-gasket are on a 'Wing and a prayer' after 150k, so maybe worth asking about that too (But it has had a Cam-belt and water pump change 10k ago) !
Good luck if you secure it !

Already sent him an email asking about he strut tops (and hopefully a pic or two)
Did the HG on my Xm about 10,000 miles ago, so I know the horror of that particular job. But at least I should be quicker the second time around!

New pictures, earlier it had old ones presumably from before being brought up to scratch.
I really don't need another XM at present, but if I did I would probably be in the running for this one, it looks very tidy, just change the bumper, lose the parking sensors and it's a nice car.

Not me
He emailed this morning to say that someone local was coming to look at it, so I asked him to let me know. He told me that it was sold, but not who to. The only thing I know is that the local guy wasn't into Citroens.
Shame really, unless something else crops up fairly soon looks like my XM-owning days could well be over.

So someone not into Citroens has paid £795-ish for a 1992 2.1 with 130k miles on. Looks like XM prices really are on the way up.
If I only had one XM at present I would have bought that.
