Hi there

My steering rack went on the A30 yesterday and car was towed by AA to garage outside Okehampton. Does anyone have a steering rack and ram and associated pipework for sale or know any good leads? It would need to be packaged up and sent to the garage (can't drive to get it) and I;m happy to pay whatever the right price is. I'd be really grateful to hear from anyone, apart from anything else because I is stuck.

I forgot to say it's the 2.1td (1992) that needs it. I don't know if that makes a difference.

I have one for free - the only downside it that you will have to come and take it off.

many thanks Peter but I will probably have to pass your kind offer. The only problem is time ... I do have a question though: are series 1 and 2 racks/rams the same? One source thought that early cars with a separate FDV would have a different pipe set up from later models. Any thoughts?

If you do come unstuck, I have one off a '92 2.1td.

Will, Ive just put a post up on the frenchcarforum for a steering ram.
Mainly want the ram but will be happy to take the lot and strip it off!
Are you coming to the x-rally?

I probably am going to the X rally.

I'll be in touch re the rack as I'd probably rather sell only the ram. let me think.
