1996 2.1 TD Exclusive Auto BLUE Hatchback For Sale (E-Bay)

As title posting ( N310 BDP ) spotted for sale on
E-BAY '£795 BIN' , 155K,
'Uses no water/oil ' but I'd check with seller if there's any history for a head gasket change ?

The car was bought through the Citroen specialist in area.
He had serviced it for the last eight years and had sold it to the owner in the first place.
Bodywork
The bodywork is is very good condition for the year with a minor ding on the drivers door.
As you can see she cleans up nicely.
The front bumpers have a couple of scuffs on where people have chanced their luck.
The wheels are alloys. They are in good, but not excellent, condition.
One has a scratch on it as I have shown in the photo.
The carpets are 'as new' in condition. I suspect that they have always been covered with mats. Even the mats are in good condition.
Bad Bits
not many!
The cruise control doesn't work --- or at least I haven't managed to operate it.
The air con needs recharging and
the sunroof leaked. I tried to clear the drain holes but it still did so I sealed it up.
It can easily be unsealed with a Stanley knife, but at least it is water tight.
Scuffing to the drivers seat side bolster as shown in pictures.
the alternator belt needs adjusting and rattles at idle, quiet at speed.
All in all a brilliant car, suitable as an everyday or Sunday car.

The 'Alacantra' on the drivers seat/bolster has not done too bad for saying it done 155K, bit of a shame though as it looks like it would be a nice XM with a bit of TLC !
Whats with the extra
'Exclusive' decal/badge on the door moulding ? I've never seen that before, its possibly the ones that where used on the Xantia Exclusives

It has VSX front and rear bumpers which lets it down. But otherwise a reasonable car for the money. Peugeot called their top end cars Executive so could be a pug badge.

I've just had a better/second look so that explains why the seller can't work out if its an
Exclusive or Executive

Robert,
It also has a different (or poorly matched up) painted nose-cone if you take a close look @ photo #1 & #5
But as you state, alot of car for small £'s !

Update, I noticed that this one never got sold by the 'BIN' listing, but was then re-listed not long after with an auction style of listing !
I've just checked it out and see it got
SOLD for £647 !
Did a forum member secure this one ?

Spotted For Sale on E-bay by Messrs Ruggs, looks much better without the 'Executive' logo on the front door buffer strips !

it was one of our cars and sold to a customer who sadly passed away last October.
He was my second man when collecting cars for almost 20 years.He made it to 89+ years before leaving this planet.This was his 2nd xm hatch and had this car for almost 7 years.
The nose cone is from a different car because he nudged or the taxi driver backed up at some traffic lights.Seems that some people up here like to do this and claim.he never put a mark on the sides of the car in all the time he use it.Money was spent over the years with ourselfs.
The car was sold on to a local man [in Preston ]after,not sure where it went after this customer

Everytime I see a 2.1 Exclusive for sale, I kick myself for turning down the silver one I was offered for silly money. It did have problems, such as head gasket and hydractive stuck in firm mode, but...
Being honest, it wasn't worth it for me as I would have wanted to sell it on.

This is almost exactly like my car spec-wise- although it must be slightly later than mine as it has a passenger airbag (I have the big glovebox).
So of course I heartily recommend it!
I love the seats but the alacantra trim is a pain, not to sit on, but in its lack of durability! Rip!
