As Title listing, spotted a Brand new Strut Top Mounting/Bracket on E-BAY, but poor description

So obviously more questions needed to be asked of the seller (i.e. N/S or O/S, taper hole size) also is it a Hydro-active type feed-pipe tapping etc. or even the O/E part number (So as to check suitability) !

Seller also has more Citroen PARTS too !

I contacted him thde last time it was listed and he didnt know, i checked and sent him the following compatible car list.

I think the one you had modified came from the same source.
My guess is the current one on ebay will almost certainly turn out to be the other one of a pair.
I must have missed it when I was given a quick rummage round the various storage containers to see if I would buy the whole job lot.
Way out of my league on price and quantity to store.
Parts identification against Citroen number was a nightmare with very little actually marked.
I got to meet the seller when collecting a batch of spares items that I won on ebay.
When I got the sealed box of spares home I found 3 of the 8 items were not as described.
Seller declares his lack of Citroen parts info in his job lot advert.
Had arranged to go back to spend a few days sorting and marking.
Unfortunately I fell ill and did not follow up or go again.
Perhaps I should make contact again.

These 3.5mm strut heads keep turning up in dealers NOS listings.
Despite there being no UK XM's needing them it seems Citroen made some Dealers stock a pair for visiting LHD cars.

I spoke to him too and would probably have the lot if I had space and time.

These particular strut tops are 2.0i, hydractive petrol ones.

How did you work out the type.
The one I got from that ebay seller I eventually tracked down as 5271.A3 a late design non-hydractive strut head.
I managed the identification because I also bought a boxed opposite hand one (5271.A5) from another ebay NOS seller.

He gave me the P/n off the packaging. I then checked it.

As above, this is the later type head so fits all the later engines with hydractive, if he gave me the right P/N.

The P/n he gave me was for the early type, so not suitable for anything but early 2.0i.

He has two strut heads offered on ebay.

I find it odd that he didnt show the fluid port in the photo but never mind.
