CAR NOW MOTD FOR 12 MONTHS,DRIVE,S FIRST CLASS.ABS,4 WINDOWS,CRUISE CONTROL,BOTH DISPLAYS ARE LIKE BRAND NEW AND READ FINE..AC REQUIRES A REGASSING AND WILL PROBABLY WORK FINE.TRIED FRONT HEATED SEATS,NOT SURE BUM GOT WARM,[MAYBE IT WAS THE HEAT FROM THE SUN].WILL TRY AGAIN.

CAN ANYONE HELP
NEED A N/S/F DOOR OUTER STAINLESS STEEL DOOR MOULDING TRIM.
HOW DO I GET IN TOUCH WITH BRIAN THE XM DOOR TRIM MAN.

Like many people (relatively speaking ), I am wanting to buy the best XM I can afford, and this sounds promising if all the toys are working and there is no rust to worry about yet. There suddenly seems to be a few very good ones on the market at varying prices. Malcolm's black 2.1 looks good too - especially with the wheels it is on.

My last XM was a 12 valve 3.0, what are the significant differences between that and a 24 valve? Power? Economy?

Power is up, economy is down...

BUT not too far down..

This is the PSA 24v engine from the XANTIA... not the older PRV 24v (They were manual only) these PSA 24v units are actually rather good on fuel IF driven gentley! I got 35mpg ona LONG run in my xantia when I had it on the road. The XM is not much heavyer then a Xantia. So well worth considering!

Obviously they wont have 2.1 TD economy..
