XM V6 1989 MANUAL looking for a new home

Ok guys, no takers so I guess the old V6 is going to have to find it's way
to Edwards and become a parts car, but I thought I'd post one more time to
see if there's any interest. I should post on club-xm I guess too, anyone
remind me of the link as the original is broke... or maybe Ciaran could
re-post there on my behalf?

Details:
XM V6-12v SEi manual, G-reg, registered 31-01-1990 according to the V5,
non-factory sunroof which works. Just under 125K miles (speedo over-reads
20% tho). In fair condition for a 20YO car, some rust on drivers front
corner of sunroof area and lower inner edges of the front doors and around
the lip on the lower part of the front wings. Paint in the usual places
(bonnet and rear quarter-light caps) is worn. Driver-side bumper bracket has
come adrift in the usual place (rusted). Light blue paint, black leather
interior inc steering wheel, pretty well everything works fine, H1 HID's,
Cobra alarm, air-con needs a top-up but is working (note - R12 system). MOT
runs out 07-August and tax not long after.

Known Faults:
CLUTCH FAILED - so is un-driveable as you can't engage gear with the engine
running. Was replaced at Mr Clutch (Southend) just over 2 years ago, and
sounds like maybe the release bearing has failed, probably they didn't
change it! Being manual, it can be towed as the engine runs fine.
Clonking on hard cornering, probably CV joints, can provide drive-shafts for
spare joints.

Recent replacements:
S/H HP pump, regulator, steering rack, strut tops, new track-rod ends,
steering swivels, FDV and HP pipes from pump to FDV and FDV to regulator.
New Cit drop links, recent pads. New battery in Dec-08.

Also up for grabs -
garage load of spare parts, V6 engine and manual box, drive-shafts, rear
axle, hubs, struts and a couple reasonable tops (early thinner type),
various hydraulic and electronic bits, set of locks, lights, spare SEi rims
etc.

Tyres on the car are nearly new, primacy on rear, E3A on front, but I may
get these swapped onto my Alfa as it has same size/spec. Might nab the HID's
too, but I'll be needing H7 bulbs for the Alfa. Definitely will if it's
going to scrap.

Ideally they'd go as a job lot, or just the car and a few parts if you
prefer... any offers?

If not, then I guess the car will go to a breakers, probably Edwards, which
seems a shame, and I'll try shifting the parts on flea-bay, and scrap those
that don't sell. I'm not going to have the time to break the car, starting a
new job Monday (at long last) and it's on the street so that's not really an
option. It has to go by 28-July when the insurance runs out.

Regards
Dave

Save it Andrew!!

You can always keep it in safe keeping, incase some of the rest of us find our selves in a position to buy one.

I would love it but have too many things against me at the minute, namely too much work to do on CXs, having too many cars and no cash.
