E-bay Seller wrote:Citroen XM Estate in reasonable condition for the age and use,84 and a bit thousand miles on the speedo, its not been used as a van or towing vehicle. The engine starts easily and runs smoothly, doesn't leak oil or lose coolant. The alternator and starter work properly, the battery is ok but a bit small. Interior is clean and tidy no toorn seats or burns, very little wear on the drivers seat. The stereo works well and has the code, tho a cassette will not eject. The immobiliser works and has the code too. Central locking works and has double locking too. All doors and windows and mirrors work, and the electric sunroof, the drivers window has the usual defect. Everything works as it should, unless mentioned below. All the tyres and wheels are in good condition, plenty of tread remaining.

There are a few defects, however. Mainly the hydraulic pipes running upto the rear are a little corroded. It will need a length of 4.5mm pipe to either be replaced or spliced in. Tools and piping are available from Germany or you may be able to find a specialist in this country. The nearside front suspension strut top has a corroded top collar, again these are available on the http://www., from Elastomer in Latvia. The hydraulic system rises and falls and the pump works fine, it's not clicking away, but the rear supply pipe is leaking!

When i purchased the car about 9months back the wipers were working, now they don't, nor do the front foglamps.

Theres a mark from a worn wiper on the windscreen.

This car is worth the work it needs, a competent person with some resources could do it easily and have a very useful car which will be a pleasure to drive.

Terms: Winning bidder to contact within 24hrs of end of auction. Payment in english cash only. Payment on collection and satisfactory completion of auction with mutual feedback. Winning bidder is responsible for collecting the vehicle.
Is this a forum members vehicle by any chance as they seem to be quite knowledge on the XM and have mentioned the repair of 'Strut tops in Latvia' however as we all know they probably referring to KINGas who are actually located in Lithuania !

First time a see a series 2 victim....Glad to know my 2 liter have very good strut tops...I hate this picture and the fact that it's at all possible. It reminds me of the Alfasuds that caused accidents by similar rusted through issues.
