I saw that too, and even my lust for a derv didn't overtake my barge-pole reaction to it!
Although if you knew what you were doing it could be a bargain!

Just needs a head gasket job. Will be a fine car for someone.

13 hours in a garage and you may as well do the timing belt, water pump, tensioner a and a service too. DIY for about £450 or £1300 in the garage.

I suspect anyone buying £200 cars is handy with spanners.

Ah yes but there's a difference between a basic service and open heart surgery.

Yes, but the chance is fair that the car needs new brakes, suspension spheres, tyres, exhaust just to name a few. Having said that you can't expect driving cars is cheap and the same goes for any other old car like that.

That's the problem, if they have neglected it so much the old girl's blown the head, what state will the rest of it be in. 260k is alot of neglect if done properly!
Saying that, it could have (since it's been removed now) made a good parts car, or indeed be a nice surprise and have full main dealer history up until the head went!
Has it been sold does anyone know or scrapped? She's still taxed and insured

I guess it was sold as the auction finished early and the car still has Tax and MOT.
Head gaskets do blow, it has done well to last this long.
All the other jobs mentioned apply to every car, they are running consumables.
