As above, MOT till January, no tax, PAS broken, you will NOT be drvinig it away, unless you can change the rack where it is! However aparet from that it all works, and if you can stop flow to the steering the rest of the hydraulics will work

The bolt/pin that holds the end of the ram to the steering rack has sheered, there nothing left to get a hold of to extract the remains of said pin fom the rack. I am afraid thats the end of the line for me. I do not have the time or facilities to take the rack off

So if anyone can take it away they are welcome to it. The MOT is till jan, hoever to get it off the drive you will need to find a way to bypass the steering from the hydraulics or repalce the rack where it is. It has 2 weeks till I shall be calling the local scrap man which is a shame but I've had enough

If it has a 6+2 pump, you could just divert the 6 output back into the LHM tank.
[edit] I see from your other post that it is not 6+2.

but it is in Wantage Oxfordshire

My optomist has returned... I will have a go at removing the rack and getting the portion of bolt left in the rack out!
