Wanted: Series 2 leather steering wheel

No idea how, but the last owner of my car must have has sweated acid as the steering wheel is peeling!
I need a very good unmarked Series 2 leather steering wheel for my late S2.
I've no idea if they are all the same for the whole of the S2 model range and years.

if other folks don't have one for you, I do still keep one here but it has been used. I think they all have been used but I think this one is still very good. Let me know if you get stuck on your search, I have no need for it any more.

Theres Air Bag warning lamp positions.. If theres no Air Bag warning on the dash it will be a small red light on the wheel, if the Air Bag light is on the instruments, then there wont be.
Xantia Steering wheels are also the same.. but these had the same treatment. Depends where the warning lamp is HOWEVER, as its built into the Stereo controls, they would swap across if you get the wrong one. The actuall wheels is the same all across, its just the controls...

Not on an S2 V6.. all airbag warnings are on the dash like later S1 Xantias.. That came in with side airbags which the V6 has and in fact got before the Xantia...
The wheel is substantially the same as a last S1 Xantia wheel but there is one extra radio control button. The Xantia has just a mute button and no mode function when pushed the other way...

Yea I wasnt sure when the wheel changed to what, I know 1996 S2 wheels have the warning on the right hand control buttons... NOT on the dash. But when the actual change over to the Instrument warning I dont know

I have fitted late S1 Xantia wheels to XMs with no problem. The stereo buttons and all wiring is transferable between them.

I have a fairly late low mileage one from I believe a '97 2.1 diesel.

Good to know Robert. So it's just the legending around the mute button that's different then..
Paul, I'd think when side airbags came in... They came in very early on the XM. Or at least they did on the V6.
