Yet another rare as hen's teeth CX GTi Turbo s1

In my humble totally biased opinion these are the model of CX to get if you can!
For me, they're indisputably the best of the lot and I've had time to test this with
various purchases along the way!

OK, the hydraulic pipes all need renewing - which 1985 CX doesn't and there are signs of
corrosion creeping in about the corners. It IS after all a s1 GTi with the turbo 2.5 mill so
probably only a hundred or so made it before being made s2's. Probably only a handful
still in existence now too.

With the s2 sharing identical running gear but having been 'compromised' by the plastic bumpers
I'd put my money into the s1 than the equally fraying black one and have a better rarer car at the
end of it that looks nicer and purer in form.

The silver is the right colour for it. The press release pics of a silver one tonking along a tree lined
Routes Nationales wearing the "GTi Turbo" pressed ally number plates is imprinted in my mind!
The totally fab sawtooth herringbone seats are the best of the lot - you have to try them to believe them.
The looks of the series 1 with the go of the later end of the line turbo - from October 1984 until the
introduction of the s2 later in the Summer of '85 means there were only a handful of the metal bumpered
cars out of a total of about 600 made it into the UK as RHD...

...Oh damn, I'm not saying the right things here am I!?
