Xantia V6 Exclusive Breaking...

I bought this car with intentions of doing a V6 Activa conversion with it, plans have change slightly which means that this car is now surplus to requirements.

Faults that I know of:

ABS kicks in when coming to a stop - this will be the ring on the driveshaft, easy fix.
Front offside wheel bearing makes a bit of a noise - not bad, just enough for me to know it's there and it annoys me.
Seal around the windscreen is damaged.
Heater matrix leaks.

Car starts first time at the flick of a key and runs perfectly. Exhaust isn't leaking, tyres are all legal, backs are good, front's will need replacing in a few months.

Car is Mallard Green with the cream leather interior. Car has covered 122k miles. The car currently has no tax or MOT however I can arrange for it to be MOT'd at the buyers expense.

Since pictures speak a thousand words, here's a load of them...

I do have some more paperwork for the car in the office somewhere, I just need to find it.

Price: £350.
Car is located 17 miles west of Glasgow.

That looks like a nice example David and good luck with the sale. The few faults should not be a problem to sort and well worth the effort, especially given the distinctive body colour and cream leather interior and the modest price you are asking! With regards. Matthew T.

Change of plan... again!

This car is now being used for a donor for my Xantia Activa V6 conversion so will be getting broken for spares.

All parts sensibly priced, postage available on smaller things, larger parts can be collected either from home (Langbank, 17 miles west of Glasgow) or can be collected as I head to Welwyn Garden City in the next couple of months hopefully.

David.

That is a shame in a way David since it would make a nice car for someone but good luck with the conversion!! Regards, Matthew T.

It was originally bought for this reason Matthew. It was either going to be mine that was used or another one that was down south that is identical to this one.

The rust in it would require a good amount of welding to make it spot on again, the C pillar alone hides more rust than you think in these when it even starts to show so i dont blame david for breaking it :(

Well the engine is now out and I've started to swap some of the parts over. The flywheel is now swapped to the manual version and I've started to strip the ancillaries down in preparation for doing the timing belt tomorrow evening.
