SOLD: 2.1TD MANUAL Estate, 58K miles Erm Bought!

Selling off one (or bits :o) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

Near enough, very slightly different damper oriface and different pressure, but not vastly. Of course the main 'Bump/rebound' dampers could be different as well to accomodate the additional weight of the XM.

Why not just get Xm non hydro spheres.?

According to the GSF table, my XM would use the same center hydractive spheres as a Xantia and the same rear spheres.
The only difference would be the fron ones.

XM: 400/55/0.70
Xantia: 400/50/0.60

I think its a small enough difference to make it doable, right?

Its currently getting a new drive shaft as i write this. The cover must have been torn for a while as the joint was bone dry and quite worn, so best have a new shaft.

Ive heard it mentioned about non hydractive Xms before, which Xms are non hydractive?

Twice this was mentioned at the national, although i wasnt' aware there even is a non hydractive XM? Or have i missed somehting

Some early 89/90 cars (likely French home market cras only) had a basic BX derived hydropneumatic
rather than the 6 sphere set up we all know and 'love'!

Thanks Andrew, it was the inner joint on the driver side, so the long shaft.

Its all finished now though :)

Ah right, i thought it must have just been non Uk cars. :)

Yeah, non-hydractive cars were in production for quite a while as well. Their SX models were non-hydractive as well. The tell tale sign is no hydractive switch by the gear lever.

That car doesn't even have steering wheel radio controls! Its the first time I've ever seen that with that steering wheel type. I got these photos of cars for sale on leboncoin.fr, if you look closely there is no radio in either of these cars either, or are my eyes playing tricks on me??

My '95 XM (poverty spec Norwegian car) is non-hydroactive and has the same steering wheel fitted as the picture but with radio controls fitted, It rides just like a big BX.
