Does anyone have a spare undamaged gear lever for a S1 V6 as mine has suffered the usual surface cracking to the rubber surface. I think the part was the same on all XM. Many thanks in anticipation and I will be at Stratford Sat pm and Sun. Regards, Matthew T.

The dealer price is not too bad, i would imagine they still do them, i bought one a couple of years back.
Be carefull though there is a different one for R+LHD and the dealer ordered me up a LHD one first by mistake.

Very many thanks for that suggestion Dean and I will check them out in the morning. It would be better to get a new one if possible since as I recall Russ fitted a s/h replacement which then promptly cracked! With regards, Matthew T.

They all do it Matthew, even the good ones i put in storage have done it, its just a matter of time i think.

I can confirm, and much to Jaaps disbelief too, I fitted a perfect one that he gave me, to mine and the very next day the entire top had completely split. So I have two spares both cracked. The mandarin one is fine..... For now!

That will be interesting if you can still get new ones.

The same part is used on ZXs - At least it looks and feels Identical.

I have spoken with my local MD who unfortunately has advised the part is now NFP! I am also currently exploring the ZX option thanks to Robert since there do seem to be rather more going for parts! Regards, Matthew T.

I can show you a picture of a split MANUAL one as well, that only lived in Ireland so not that extremely hot.

I might have a Spare Matthew if you want too chance it?
