Hi and welcome to the auction for our trusty citroen xm sport.

We have owned this car for just over a year now and in that time it has proved itself to be reliable and economical transport for us and even took us on a jolly to brussels in july for our friends stag do.

so a little about the car

diesel engine, auto gearbox work as they should with no excessive noises

the bodywork is all in good condition for the year with no major dents or scratches and looks very presentable(could do with a wash)

the sports leather interior is in good order all the way through with only small amounts of wear on the seats

unfortunately it has developed leaks in the hydraulic suspension system although the suspension still works and it can be driven but would recommend trailer to collect

also a with most french cars of this era there are a few minor electrical issues but nothing to effect the running of the vehicle

so we have decided reluctantly to sell her this mostly due to our work load and the fact we have no space to keep the old girl as we have to many other dead cars (mostly customers) to keep it until we have time to fix it

this would make a great car for someone with the time to do the suspension pipes on it

so this is a great opportunity to own a car which is becoming quite rare and a collectable piece of motoring history

this car must be sold so we will start the bidding at what we can get for weighing it in

I didn't know my XM has Sports Seats! Do we assume that it is stuck ins ports mode since he referes to it as a Citroen XM Sport

Reminds me Robert, I didn't ignore your pm the other day, just poorly organised! I'll see which cars
have them fitted and whether I want to remove them - I don't want to sully the s1 24v's one as much
as I hate the damn thing and haven't been through many of the others to check/. Have you tried
lifting one up - that'd take another 5 miles off the mpg figures...

No Problem Andrew,

Its very low on my priority list at the moment, well I don't really have one of those. Making sure I get paid at the end of the month is my main priority!!

Then eventually getting back to working on my CX 20 thereafter. I have been stalling a bit, I have to change the rear subframe on it accompanied with loads of welding when I have that removed. Ohh and curing my elctronical problem that is preventing the damn thing from starting!

I was about to post that when I realised someone had beaten me to it. Looks nice and I wouldn't think that the LHM leak would be to difficult to fix. When I saw it was silver I almost thought about it for myself.

It's not me that needs the convincing. Actually that's not strictly true, there are other reasons as well. I don't actually need another car and it will sort of be in the way.

Good advice Jonathan, though I think you're being a tad harsh with the seller!

Usually the less literate an ebay seller, the larger the caps lock text and randomness
of the content and sentiment and you're onto a total loser with textgobshite.

This auction seems Ok to me and the car sounds like it could be OK so long as the seller
could elaborate exactly on which pipes are leaking: low pressure return off the front rams
or OMG look how much fluid there is at high pressure on the back subframe crosstube?

I too like the colour myself.

I would've thought the leather seating would be the exact opposite of sports after
the first corner it goes around as you'll be sitting on the door armrest, even with
a seatbelt!

It's showing up as an SED and is either newly SORNED from the beginning of this
month or more unlikely, taxed. Think he'd have mentioned this fact as a
consideration in the car's valuation.

Exactly what happens Andrew, and it's even worse for the passengers!!

I'm tending to think the best "dress" for an XM is the alcadara -pretty, practical, and lasting.

This graphite color suits the XM really good.

BTW, was this not recently on ebay, or was it an identical one, or am I confused?
