S1 wheel trims wanted

Selling off one (or bits :o) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

Cool thanks, I gather they're a bit of a marmite item but personally I love the way they look & they're certainly better than the standard ones on our S2!

Anything is better than S2 trims, they look so cheap and don't suit the car at all.

Sometimes I like the flat trims, other times think they look too plain. They look great when in motion.

Quite agree, what were PSA thinking when they specced the S2 items? They look like something that cost £14.99 from halfrauds. I don't think the flat ones look plain at all TBH, and they're the ones that I remember seeing on most XM's when I was younger so they just look "right" to my mind, not sure there's any other trim that would suit steels on an XM :) Which plays into my hands a little if someone has them and happens to hate the sight of the things lol

personally I really like them. My car is on the later 24V alloys (with the removable centre to allow easier balancing). They are OK but need a bit of TLC and a respray. Once I have done this I may consider getting rid and replacing with the proper steels if I can find a good set with decent trims.

Good luck finding another two trims.

Hmm, not so keen on that type although they do suit some XM better than others. It's your meteor grey one that has these trims isn't it? they look good with that colour and champagne, probably with black too but not so much silver IMHO.

By the way the photo isn't of 2 trims I already have, it's just an example pic I need/want all four still sadly :( They are on ebay but at a bit of a high price for only 2 IMO

Apologies, I forgot to look them out today. I definitely have at least four.

No worries, don't think we'll need more than four just yet. A second XM is not on the cards at least for the moment as the boss feels that one XM and one ZX is more than adequate (and in a way I agree, since we can only drive one car at once, although we all know that the ideal number of cars to have is as many as one can physically fit on or near the driveway/garage plus one or two extra for parts or luck! :D ) but I'm hopeful that when she gets a feel for how the XM drives that I'll be able to convince her that a nice hatchback with leather and toys would be good to have.

Just give us a shout when you've had a chance to find them and let us know how much we'll owe you. Cheers.
