Wanted. Oil dipstick.

Selling off one (or bits :o) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

Still available from the stealers, I believe. Had to get one a while back for the Diesel and shortly after that, one for a ZX. Bought one at the dealers and one on line but can't remember which way round!

An easy repair for the disintegrated plastic...
Might help you out, depending on the size of your dipstick tube.

There are plenty on sale but how do you know if it is the right length?

Mine is a very early 2.0 petrol. All the ones on Ebay seem to be later cars or for V6 or diesel.

Confused.

They are extremely difficult to identify reliably from the adverts, which is partly the reason I repaired.

As you can see from the photo I am not convinced this one is original!!! In fact I am pretty sure it is not original and therefore not much use other than to stop oil blowing out of the tube!!!!!!!

Any suggestions/advice welcome.

Yes.
1. Get someone to measure the correct distance from High mark to Tube Top for your 2.0
2. Do a repair job (with your own steel/brass strip, or gash dipstick) as per my post above
Easy-peasy.
