I've just found it, and am intrigued, 'cos like all XM owners, I have to peer at the half visible letters and try to interpolate the meaning. How does this little number work? Is it wired into the dash electrics? Or what?

Clues please

Ah.. Like all SERIES TWO owners... Lol..

Series one displays dont play up.. And stupidly are not cross compatable directly as they changed all the pin connections around...

'Twas a 2015 post. Hopefully Garry has fixed it by now!

Revisiting this thread after two years, does anyone know if these repair 'kits' are still available in France and if so, worth buying? :(

Also, how easy/difficult is removing the dashboard to replace the display strip? :(

Yes, still available on eBay (search for "Citroen XM nappes", I can see two items right now). Absolutely positively worth buying, this is *the* solution if you have missing columns.

It'd be more elegant to link here but I have a complete description at http://citroen.tramontana.co.hu/electri ... el-columns" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; with pictures. Disassembly of the dash takes about 15 minutes.
