2.5 TD engine, the harness holder on the left side of the engine:

Is this fixed to the bracket below (hole there) or behind it (also a hole there)? Could somebody have one lying around? Yes, a zip tie can keep it where it is, but still, for the sake of originality...

Mine sits just where yours does. The tubular support has a spigot on its underside, which goes into the hole underneath.

That's not mine, just a photo from the net. I have it missing in action.
Is it really tubular or half open? If tubular, there's no way I could fit one back.

It opens up into two halves, and then snaps together.

John, or somebody else breaking them regularly, what do you think of this? A trusty local breaker says they always break on dismantling and he doesn't keep them.

Keep meaning to look on one of the spare engines.
Keep forgetting on trips to the unit.
Have to got over tomorrow morning to hopefully get a recovered windscreen fitted.
Will see if I can find one.
My recollection is that the base has a plastic tee that fits into a slot and twist locks ninety degrees into place.

Found and recovered one yesterday while waiting for the windscreen glue to set.
Push fit with plastic spring projections.
Whole cover needs removing to release the spring projections from the inside.
PM me with name and address to post it to.

Just perfect, thank you very much. I can't understand why some people are swapping engines and similar, boring, isn't it? These small things are the important ones. [emoji16]

That clip has been polished to perfection.
