Wanted: Centre console rear window switches

Selling off one (or bits :o) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

Unless the switches are known duff, check the window switches/switch connectors on the doors as well . . . The window switches are inter-connected, and a fault in one of them can render another one inoperative.

The other thing I forgot to mention was that the door-mounted window switches can foul on the 'leather' material of the armrest/door handle. The material is very close to the switch rocker edges, and has been known to prevent the switch from returning to its off/neutral position. This can cause other switches not to operate, as well as causing a muted repeated clunking as the window motor repeatedly tries to close (or open) the window. If the material is touching the switch, trim it back very slightly with a scalpel or sharp blade. The switches must freely spring back to 'off' after being pressed.

Also - silly check - make sure that the Rear Window Inhibit Switch on the front central console is not switched on. This (child-safety) switch stops the rear windows from operating from the rear seats, and also switches off the rear cigar lighter socket.
