Complete sunroof cassettes recovered from Mk 2 XM's.
Had to shift them last evening to get at a recovered windscreen.
As a result the cassettes are now cluttering my working area.
Offers?
Collection from north hampshire only.

That might fit in and is a welcome offer.
How much more room will you have?
The windscreen should get fitted on Thursday this week.
Do not want to risk doing anything at the unit while the screen is stood by the door just waiting to be cracked.
After that I can bring the cassettes home ready for pick up from Winchester.

I think I asked for one too John, how are those other bits coming along? Collection isn't an issue, I can collect for Paul too.

Hi Ray
Buried deeper rather than collected together.
Been making space then installing storage cabinets.
I have reached the weight limit for the mezanine area and the steel wire ropes in the roof sag with XM bits.
A car stored outside went to scrap but not before donating all I though worth recovering.
A couple of engines have come in as well in the last few months.
That plus the subframe bits and wiring looms that I cleared from behind the shed at home.
Fix something up with quite a bit of notice, that will save KP going out of his way.
To reassure you there are some more recovered cassettes behind the recovered glass stock.
I just do not want to put back the ones that I have pulled out and want them gone from the work area fairly quickly.
If I know you are coming down I will stick them into the SORN car outside with most of your TL stored in it.
Assuming I can remember where the keys for it are.

Will a Mk. 2 casette fit a Mk. 1 car. Julian, who bought my old car, had a sunroof question. The cables have a few stripped points so it was odd in operation. I was going to drop him a line to say hello soon so could point this post out to him if it is possible to swap Mk. 2/1.

Depends on the age of the Mk 1.
Early Mk 1's got non standard cassettes with different size glass and roof hole position.
They will most likely go as a job lot to citroenxm with ray keeping his for providing the transport.

Sure we can sort something out as I'll be down just outside of fleet, passing Bristol on the way down as that's where the xm has a viewing and I'll have a pretty much empty boot, I'm not taking a lot as the back seats are being folded down to make way for the air bed
Drop me a pm and we can arrange something off here. You wouldn't have a sore windscreen though would you

The mk.1 is an sed john with standard factory citroen roof unit same as all units fitted from 91 onwards. not the aftermarket type fitted to i and si models that also used a completely non standard roof lineing
I beleve the sed originally in 1989 was the only model to get the factory sunroof in the uk making them more compatable with roof linings and casettes.. ..
