Wanted : n/s/r suspension pipe

wanted urgently, n/s/r suspension pipe, the 16mm diameter one with the 17mm nuts on either end and the rubber flexible in the middle.

Mine has corroded through and I need my car for work so need one asap.
I've tried every hydraulics place in the northwest and no-one can either repair mine or make up a new one so a good used pipe appears to be my only option.

Thanks.

Try Paul (Citroen XM).
Failing that Frederick in France (ask MTXM for contact details).
Ebay item 401309125911, this seller has both V6 pipes on ebay and posts to UK.
I have found him reliable.

John

Another option for the pipe would be Mark at Edwards & Son of Billericay, who would definitely have the part available and is extremely efficient and reliable. Regards, Matthew T.

This is bad news!, "I've tried every hydraulics place in the northwest and no-one can either repair mine or make up a new one so a good used pipe appears to be my only option. " Have you tried pirtek, i've heard good things! for example; http://www.pirtek.co.uk/service-centres/north-west" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Re: Pirtek: I hear you must not mention that it is for a road vehicle though! Start with a little white lie and you may have some luck. You could say you need it to be compatible with MIL-H-5606, another mineral hydraulic fluid (e.g. Aeroshell 41).

Thanks for the leads guys, The seller on eBay currently only has the o/s/r pipe listed so I've emailed and asked if they have the one for the left.
Pirtek couldn't help, apparently they can't do the double swage on either end.
I'll try Edward and sons tomorrow and see if they have one.
I'll get a pipe one way or t'other.
Thanks again for the help.

Thanks Paul, mine was seized at the cylinder end and ended up shearing the pipe when I got it undone. No biggie as the pipe was buggered anyway. Check out the pinhole, it lost 5 litres of lhm through that in seconds.....

Sometimes you need a blast of heat to undo those rusted on banjo bolts, there is no other way. If, after using penetrating oil, it starts to twist the pipe at all...STOP...and apply a blowlamp to the bolt before continuing.

If really stuck, and I know it's a long way away, try SGS at Dunsfold.
Used to be Shalford Green Garage, but moved to Dunsfold (Surrey) and expanded.
Long-time Citroen specialist.
